| Bradley Norton spearheaded the Lone tree spring pond project. With Rick Eastlund digging out years of old pond/swamp grass. The project consisted of piping the water from the Lone tree spring directly into the pond. As the swamp grows, dies, then grows again, it builds itself higher and higher, blocking the natural flow of the water from the spring to the pond. A new channel was trenched in two sections to get water actually flowing, and 400’ of PVC pipe was laid and buried to help raise the water level in the pond. The work was successful and raised the water in the pond over a foot in the first two days. |
